Bad Boy Johnny
and The Prophets of Doom 1990
also called Bad Boy Johnny and The Profits Of Doom
A rock musical composed by Daniel Abineri. It is a satire concerning an altar boy, who, managed by his priest, becomes a rock star - and subsequently Pope. It was staged in Melbourne and Sydney and a cast album and single were released. After opening at the Union Chapel in Islington, it closed after ten performances because of complaints it was blasphemous.
The Australian Rock Database lists Eddie Rayner as a session musician on the soundtrack. From Wendy Stapleton - Discography and Cast Recordings - English Language Theatre Recordings / Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa
