Song/Video titles etc.

"Hole in the River" (Neil Finn, Eddie Rayner) is said to be from a line spoken by Shirley MacLaine in Irma La Douce (US 1963). (Possibly, but it seems to be the wrong film.) In Something So Strong, p56, Neil Finn describes writing the song.
There is a line in My Fair Lady (US 1964) where Eliza says to Freddy that she is going to the river to make a hole in it. It is not in the published stage show book.

"I Like To Watch", the title of the 1992 Crowded House video compilation is a quote by Chauncy Gardner (Peter Sellers) in Being There (US 1979): Memorable Quotes from Being There (1979).

"She Will Have Her Way" (Neil Finn) video was inspired by the movie Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (1958). Remake: Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (TV) (1993)

A young girl from New York doesn't want to go on holiday with her family to Greece because she will miss a Split Enz show.

Dirty Creature (NZ 1995)

11 minute short, directed by Grant Campbell, who also produced the Front Lawn film The Lounge Bar (NZ 1988). Brief appearance by Harry Sinclair.

Rewi's Last Stand (NZ 1940)

Filmed in Te Awamutu, New Zealand. It is an account of a major battle between Maori and military forces in the 1860's. It is a remake of a silent 1925 film of the same title (location Rotorua) of which less than 30 minutes remain.
