Mozart Requiem from Naxos CD 8.557728. Conductor: Morten Schuldt-Jensen, Leipzig Chamber Orchestra, Gewandhaus Chamber Choir.
The Seven Sisters are: Sean Donnelly on bass, John Segovia on pedal steel guitar, and Chis O'Connor on drums.
Note:
Some of the track listings have the following:
Bach Requiem in D minor, KV 626_ III. Sequentia (Lacrimosa) Gewandhaus Kammerchor, Leipziger Kammerorchester, conductor Morten Schuldt-Jensen (Naxos 8.557728)
Bach Requiem in D minor, KV 626_ VII. Agnus Dei Gewandhaus Kammerchor, Leipziger Kammerorchester, conductor Morten Schuldt-Jensen (Naxos 8.557728)
The Requiem was unfinished when Mozart died in 1791 and was later completed by Mozart's pupil Franz Xaver Süssmayr (1766-1803). So most of the two pieces here weren't actually written by Bach or Mozart!
Notes |
Anthony McCarten wrote the screenplay from his novel of the same name.
